Description

Lake made by Mormon

Flat Dam - between Phoenix

Arizona and Roosevelt Dam.

We took a boat ride lasting

2 1/2 hours, which us back

into the mountains - all sorts

of fantasticly shaped

rock formations.

This was Apache Indian

groun in early days and

only this year (1925) ^in a

car at the upper reaches of

this lake quite a number

of skeletons and remains of

guns were found where

fighting had taken place.

The captain on this boat

is a "lunger" from Alaska.

We took this trip about

the 18th of Dec 1925

W.J. Stahlberg of Denver

accompanied Chas. and me.
