On train met a lady from Buffalo (or Erie) who was enroute to New O - to join her husband who was stopping at Hotel Lafayette. Not knowing anything about the cities hostleries decided to try Hotel Lafayette too. Found it very nice and quiet and close to things. Wed. a.m. we took a sightseeing bus, in which we rode to many places of interest, one of the first being Jackson Park around which clusters some of the best historical spots - for instance the famous cabildo - shown in the pitcure.
